The accumulated experience over more than 25 years in the design world is encapsulated in my most personal project. joansabata.com is created with the intention of making this experience available to clients, actively participating and adding value in any phase of launching a new product to the market.
From consultancy services and strategic definition to formal definition and the functional and industrial development of the project, we cover every aspect, not neglecting the product launch and promotion phase. Design Manager · Bodywork & Prototyping
In 2018, I immersed myself in the project of the Galician startup, VMS Automotive. The initial tasks included creating a Concept Bike that would define the aesthetics of projects to be developed in the coming years for the brand. Simultaneously with this project, we defined the naming and visual identity of the “EEZON” project.
Once the corporate strategy was defined, we designed various models derived from the initial concept, encompassing a motorcycle for individual users and a motorcycle focused on B2B, for fleets and motosharing companies. Finally, variants of the motorcycle focused on Last Mile Delivery were developed. In 2022, the first 100 vehicles were delivered to the Spanish Postal Service.

Design and Marketing Manager.
After supervising the final theses of automotive design students in 2010 at IED Barcelona and the subsequent development of the first prototype from ÀNIMA Design, I became exclusively involved in the project starting in 2014.
During this period as the Design & Marketing Manager, we designed and developed several new products concurrently with the commercial launch of the brand’s first product, the VOLTA BCN Sport/City. In addition to product design, my focus extended to brand strategy and promotional activities. The Flagship Store project and the container concept for fairs and promotional events were also developed.

General Manager.
During the initial years, I balanced the roles of Designer and Project Manager with the overall leadership of the studio. In this period, the studio experienced rapid international expansion, solidifying its position as a benchmark design studio in Barcelona.
As the company grew, my focus shifted towards General Management and Business Development.
Starting in 2010, we actively engaged in the founding of a new electric motorcycle brand (VOLTA Motorbikes) and the development of its first product. In 2014, I transitioned from ÀNIMA Design to actively concentrate on the Design and Marketing Management of the new VOLTA Motorbikes project.
I began my professional journey in the design world as an industrial designer at B2 Botey Produccions de Disseny. The initial projects covered various sectors, marking the inception of my design career.
Collaborations with Ignasi Bonjoch were also initiated during this period, where I took on the role of 3D modeling and visualization responsibilities for projects in Exhibition Design, Trade Show Booths, and Retail.
